This series is devoted to what the artist could call fragments of memories or imprinted portraits. Capturing snapshots, freezing movements, attitudes, expressions but also capturing the marks of time left on a face. Traces of life left like messages. In this series the artist attempts to seek the essence, the origins, the very foundations of life. The portraits, called counter-prints, attempt to make a passage from one state to another. The face is the reflection of time that passes and which irrevocably reminds us of the reality of an ephemeral and fatal beauty.
